No single voice awards an HBB distinction. The Board decides together.
The Editorial Board brings together senior editors and independent hospitality specialists. Inspectors remain anonymous to protect the integrity of their visits.
HBB Icons, HBB Recommended and the Editorial Board's Selection are decided by majority vote of the Board.
Any member with an ownership, partnership or advisory interest in a venue withdraws from every discussion and vote concerning it. Such venues cannot receive an HBB distinction.
No member of the commercial team sits on the Board or attends its deliberations.
