The global reference for hospitality.

The Devonshire is Soho's landmark pub and grill room on Denman Street, opened in 2023 by Oisín Rogers, Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts, with an in-house butcher and bakery, a perfect pint of Guinness downstairs and a wood-ember grill upstairs.
The Devonshire opened in 2023 on Denman Street in Soho, on the site of the historic Devonshire Arms. Publican Oisín Rogers, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and chef Ashley Palmer-Watts, formerly of The Fat Duck, set out to build the definitive London pub: a proper public house downstairs, a serious grill room upstairs, and four private dining rooms above that.
Do the simple things perfectly: the best pint, the best beef, the warmest welcome, open to all.
Within months of opening it became the hardest table to book in London and a reference point for what a modern British pub can be: house butchery and bakery, day-boat fish, creel-caught langoustines from Oban and hand-dived scallops from Devon, all cooked over a wood ember grill.
A three-Michelin-star-trained chef applying fine-dining discipline to the great British pub, with everything from butchery to bread made in house.
Downstairs is walk-in only, warm and loud, with homemade bar food from the in-house butcher and bakery and a famously perfect pint of Guinness. Upstairs the grill room serves dry-aged Scottish beef butchered on site, with a set menu all day and Sunday lunch as a roast-only ritual.
A classic London pub interior kept honest: warm wood, mirrors and brass downstairs, and a more refined, clubby grill room upstairs built around the open wood-ember fire.
Four private dining rooms above the restaurant, including the Bowie Room, carry the same warm, unpretentious Soho character.
