The original Milos began in Montréal’s Mile End in 1979, pairing an open kitchen with a fish-market display where guests could choose their seafood. Its enduring focus is Greek hospitality and deliberately uncomplicated preparations of carefully sourced fish, seafood and produce.
The Story
Origin
Greek-born Costas Spiliadis came to North America for university and settled in Montréal. Inspired by simple fish tavernas, he opened the first Milos as chef-owner in 1979. The restaurant was expanded and refreshed in 2015.
